To tell if you have an ASPI manager installed, look for a file called WNASPI32.DLL in your Windows system directory (c:\windows\system or c:\winnt\system32 are common locations).
How to install ASPI?
1 . download adaptec ASPI driver 4.71 in http://www.dvdtompegx.com/download/aspi471.zip
2 . unzip the file.
3 . double click aspiinst.exe to install ASPI driver 4.71.
4 . double click the REG_XP.exe file to register if you are not experienced editing the registry .
5 . reboot and try again.
